Show "Shortcut to" Label on Internet Explorer Links (All Windows) Category: Home > Software > Internet Explorer > Appearance
By default when you hover the mouse over a link in Internet Explorer it will display "Shortcut to filename.htm" in the status bar. This tweak controls that behaviour so that the full URL can be shown instead. Open your registry and find the key below. Modify the value called "Show_FullURL" and set it to "0" to show the full URL or "1" to show "Shortcut to ...". For versions of Internet Explorer prior to 6.0 also open the key [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main] and set the same value to "no" or "yes". Restart Internet Explorer for the change to take effect.
